Week 14 Recap

Once the grounds dried out enough we were able to continue our growth maintenance program throughout the golf course despite the light snow fall. All of our energies and resources are devoted to growing grass. Our conditions last week, like much of this fall, have been less than ideal. However, our turf has really taken a liking to our soil and along with our tender loving care, is progressing very nicely. Our tees and fairways are as close to perfect as can be which is attributed to our ability to get them planted in mid August and then properly cared for since.
This fall we've utilized one of the world's most recognized cold weather turf and bent grass experts in Dr. Brian Horgan and his partner Sam Bauer as site consultants on an as needed basis. They were also the site consultants at Minikahda last year.
They were on property today and again about a month ago inspecting our greens. They gave us a double thumbs up on the progress our bent grass is making. They were extremely pleased with areas that were thin from all the wash outs and are confident these will all grow in beautifully by next May/June.
Below are some pictures from our inspections today.
