Duininck Construction - GPS Measuring of Greens

Image
The crew from Duininck construction was on site last week, performing laser guided GPS Measurements on our greens.  This is to ensure that when greens are stripped of their soil that they will be restored to existing slopes and the integrity of the current green is maintained.  I n these pictures, you will see that they are utilizing laser guided devices to digitally create a grid/map of every green’s dimensions and slopes, which will be used in guiding the reconstruction of the greens to their existing state.   These laser measurements are accurate to 1/10 th of an inch.   This contour mapping will also guide us in our re-working of the contours of 1, 4, 13.

We shared the construction schedule in the appendix in our member information packet that went out to everyone, but we thought to add it to the blog for a quick reference for all members
